Nelius is the Chief Financial Officer of SanlamAllianz. He joined the Sanlam Group almost 19 years ago and has held various roles in Finance, Actuarial, Product Development and general management across life and general insurance in Africa. He also served as Chief and Appointed Actuary of Sanlam’s life insurance businesses in India.
Nelius has 14 years’ experience as a Board member and member of audit and investment committees, having represented Sanlam and SanlamAllianz on numerous Boards of life and general insurance subsidiaries and associated companies.
He has a BCom degree in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University and completed an Executive Leadership Programme from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is a qualified Actuary and a Fellow Member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
